Tablet and Cell Phone Waitlist
We are excited to announce that recent changes to TASA law will allow FTRI to distribute FREE tablets and cell phones loaded with telecommunications apps.
To help us prepare for a successful start to this new program, we are collecting information from Deaf, Deafblind, Hard of Hearing, and Speech Impaired Florida residents who are interested in receiving one of these new devices, when they are available.
The Public Services Commission has proposed the following qualifications, which they will likely finalize in late 2026:
Qualifications for All Applicants
- Florida resident, over the age of 3
- Have hearing loss and/or speech disability
- No income limit for legacy landline equipment
For Tablets, Cell Phones, & Apps:
PSC proposed income limit:
250% of Federal Poverty Level
250% of Federal Poverty Level
