Job Description

Plans and directs accounting and administrative services, including supervision of two employees, conducts internal and external audits/taxes, preparing quarterly financials, annual budget, monitors accounting records, manages cash/credit accounts, oversees facility inventory and assets, and submits/maintains employee payroll and benefits. Reports to the Executive Director.


The Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc. (FTRI) is a not-for-profit state program responsible for providing telecommunications devices and services to eligible Floridians with hearing loss. FTRI has an internal staff of eight employees and collaborates with 20 regional distribution centers in providing services to this population.

Skills and Experience

The candidate for this position shall have knowledge of accounting principles, concepts, and methodology; possess good communication and management skills, be proficient in use of computer and accounting software, be able to work independently and collaboratively, solve practical problems, and work effectively with members of FTRI team.

Bachelors’ degree in accounting from a 4-year college/university plus 5-year progressive accounting management experience; or equivalent combination in education and experience. Valid driver’s license. Proficiency in American Sign language is helpful.

Starting Pay Range


Anticipated Date of Hire

June 15, 2022, for a two-week paid onboarding and training. Position officially starts on July 1, 2022.
