Welcome to "Kids Keeping in Touch through Florida Relay"

Florida Telecommunications Relay, Inc. (FTRI) in collaboration with the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) are excited to announce “Kids Keeping in Touch through Florida Relay”, a new educational awareness program for children in grades 3-5.  This program has been designed to help teachers and educators increase awareness and sensitivity to the communication barriers faced by individuals with hearing loss and speech disabilities.  The lesson plans below cover such diverse and interesting topics as The Human Body, Society & Culture, Technology & Communication, and much more.  All of the lesson plans meet the benchmarks for the Sunshine State Standards, Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), and English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL) Standards

Since FTRI is a not for profit organization there is absolutely NO-COST to download and use these lesson plans or any other resources provided within this website. The lesson plans can be downloaded as one entire package, or by the individual unit depending on your needs.
